NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City house fire has killed three people and injured eight others.

The blaze broke out Saturday night at a two-story home in Queens.

Police say two women and a man died in the fire. They say the women were 82-year-old Ragvir Kaur-Kainth and 32-year-old Harleen Kaur and the man was 87-year-old Pyara Kainth.



Eight other people were taken to area hospitals. An 8-year-old girl and two other people are listed in critical condition. The other five people are in stable condition with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
