ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Authorities have issued an alert for a missing Florida man who was last spotted in Georgia.
News outlets report the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Mattie’s Call for 79-year-old Eduardo S. Rodriguez Sr., who was reported missing in Auburndale, Florida, on Monday. The GBI says he was spotted Tuesday more than 300 miles (483 kilometers) from home, in Albany, Georgia.
A Mattie’s Call is an emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons in Georgia. Police say Rodriguez has been known to become confused in the past.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has also issued a missing senior alert.
