DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - The great-grandson of L.L. Bean and the company’s chairman is planning to deliver the University of New Hampshire’s commencement address next month.
Shawn Gorman is a 1989 alumnus of UNH and is on the UNH Foundation’s board of directors. He joined the Maine outdoor specialty retailer as an analyst in 1991 and served in a number of positions before taking over as chairman of the board in 2013. He’s the great-grandson of founder Leon Leonwood Bean.
Commencement is Saturday, May 19, in Durham.
