WHITESBORO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have identified a central New York police officer killed in a car crash.

According to the Observer-Dispatch , Officer Kevin Crossley’s patrol vehicle was struck by a pickup truck around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Whitesboro.

The other driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation continues.



The village said on Facebook that it’s a close-knit community and the loss “strikes at the heart of all of us.”
