BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Light of Christ Catholic Schools in Bismarck has raised $38 million in donations needed to start building a new private high school north of the city.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that the school system plans to break ground later this month on the school that’s part of a $46.5 million project that also includes renovations to other schools in the system.

The new St. Mary’s Central High School will be on 48 acres of land donated by a local developer.



A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled Sept. 17.
