SEABROOK, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man and two children have died in a fire that destroyed a mobile home near the South Carolina coast.
Dan Byrne with the Burton Fire District told local media that the fire happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday in Seabrook in the northern part of Beaufort County.
It took firefighters about an hour to extinguish the flames.
Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen identified the dead as 23-year-old Johnathan Sanders, 10-year-old Ja’Kyla Reid and 4-year-old Jaylyn Sanders-Nelson.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division, but officials say the blaze did not appear suspicious.
