FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - The man who burned down a root beer tent during a Fort Dodge community event has been imprisoned.

The Messenger reports that 29-year-old Timothy Wood was sentenced Monday in Webster County District Court to 10 years. He’d pleaded guilty to arson.

At Monday’s hearing Wood said he didn’t remember setting fire to the Little John’s Root Beer stand on June 2 during Frontier Days. He said he was high on methamphetamine at the time.
