SANDTOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a 35-year-old man who was walking his dog.

Police said Wednesday that Roger L. Coberly of Felton was walking on the shoulder of a road Tuesday night when a vehicle struck him, throwing him into a ditch. The vehicle then continued without stopping.

Kent County Paramedics pronounced Coberly dead at the scene. His dog was uninjured.



A collision reconstruction unit is investigating. The make and model of the car are unknown.
