CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi State University Extension Service says the largest home horticulture show in the Southeast will be held Oct. 13 and 14 in Crystal Springs.
A news release says the Fall Flower and Garden Fest brings an average of 5,000 people each year to the Mississippi State University Truck Crops Branch Experiment Station. It’s free. This is its 39th year.
Home gardeners and horticulture professionals can learn about the latest plants, research and gardening techniques.
Workshop and seminar topics will include herbs, pond management, shade gardening, butterfly gardens, specialty crops, flower gardening, backyard wildlife habitats, and pest, disease and weed management.
There also will be wagon tours of the 175-acre station and informational walking tours of the gardens.
