MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. (AP) - Federal officials say another small earthquake has struck in a New Jersey community that had a similar tremor earlier this week.

The U.S. Geological Survey says it recorded the 1.0 magnitude quake around 8:05 a.m. Saturday in the area of Morristown. It did not cause any damage or injuries.

Officials say earthquakes with a magnitude between 1.0 and 3.0 aren’t typically felt by residents.

This is the second small earthquake in the area this week. A 1.5 magnitude quake was reported Monday night.
