STEAD, Nev. (AP) - A 50-year-old man has been killed in a motorcycle crash north of Reno.
Reno police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at about 4 p.m. Thursday near Echo Avenue in Stead.
His name has not been released.
Sgt. Joseph Lever says an initial investigation indicates the victim was riding recklessly in a parking lot before he lost control of the cycle and hit a curb.
He says neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have played a role in the accident, but that speed could have been a factor.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Reno Police at 775-334-2115 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
