FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado family had all but given up hope that their dog Chloe was alive after she went missing for five weeks, but they’ve been reunited with their 14-year-old lab-pit bull mix thanks to a couple of neighbors.
The Summit Daily reports (https://bit.ly/2yJZZXF ) that Alma residents Larry Osborne and his wife, Anouk Patel, put the entire town on alert after Chloe went missing in August on Mount Bross.
Osborne says they held a memorial for the dog, and he even told his son that she had died. But on Sept. 22, Chloe was returned to them weighing about one-third the weight she was. A veterinarian said malnourishment and dehydration were here only problems.
Trinity Smith and her boyfriend Sean Nichols rescued Chloe after seeing an online post about hikers hearing barking.
