OPINION:
I believe strongly that the act of recognizing the flag is a salute to our great nation and all those who have sacrificed (and are sacrificing) so much for our liberties. The professional football players who don’t recognize the flag disrespect this nation and set a bad example for all the youths who look up to them.
Why don’t NFL players do something with all the money they have and stop complaining about things that happened in the past (not to them)? Be part of the solution. Why don’t they address the fact, for example, that more African-Americans are killed by other African-Americans than by whites or police officers? Police put their lives on the line every day for a minute amount of money. Most of these football players don’t have a clue what these men and women go through.
The United States is the greatest country in the world because it provides opportunities to its citizens that no other country does.
