LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials say a deputy was hospitalized with minor injuries after another motorist attempted an illegal left turn and crashed into his patrol car.

Authorities say the other driver was not hurt in the collision late Sunday in Lancaster.

The deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.



The other driver was given a field sobriety test, but further details were not released.
