LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who warned that he may do something to “make the news” has been sentenced to prison for threatening the human resources director at his former company.

Sixty-one-year-old Lewis T. Watkins, of Lancaster, was sentenced Tuesday to serve three to 10 years in prison.

He was convicted in June of threatening the HR director of a company near Lancaster. The HR director did not work for the company when Watkins was fired in 2012.

Prosecutors say Watkins told the man he had nothing to lose and threatened to show up at the company or the man’s home.

The company said it boosted security and hired private guards for HR director.
