JERICHO, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a 91-year-old man was killed when his car struck an SUV head-on in Jericho and then crashed into another vehicle.

Authorities say a car driven by Charles Varmette, of Shelburne, crossed a center line and hit an SUV operated by 62-year-old Helen Lugano, of Charlotte. It also collided with a vehicle being driven by 57-year-old David Burnor, of Johnson.

Varmette was pronounced dead at the scene. Lugano was treated at a hospital for a non-life-threatening leg injury and cuts and bruises. Burnor and his passenger, 27-year-old Wendall Burnor, weren’t injured.
