Rock Hill police said in a news release they were flagged down about 11:30 p.m. Monday by several men who said a woman had been stabbed. Officers found her dead.
York County Coroner Sabrina Gast said Tuesday the victim was 25-year-old Marandy Jade Brandon.
The 26-year-old man was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, with injuries that were considered life-threatening. There was no word on his condition Tuesday.
The police report said officers found the man in a bedroom on his knees stabbing himself in the chest with a butcher knife. Officers used a stun gun to stop him from stabbing again.
