GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina couple has died from injuries suffered in a wreck earlier this month.
Greensboro police said in a news release Monday that two of the three people injured in the Sept. 5 wreck have died over the weekend.
Officer B.L. Blankenship said in a news release that 90-year-old Luther Paul Souther Jr. of Greensboro died at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro on Friday from injuries suffered in the wreck. His wife, 86-year-old Vertie Souther, died Saturday from her injuries.
Police say the Souther’s vehicle crossed the center line of a street and hit an oncoming car. The driver of that car was treated and released from the hospital for her injuries.
