RIDGEFIELD, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says a Vancouver man was killed when he stumbled into Interstate 5 traffic near Ridgefield and was hit by an SUV.

The patrol says 51-year-old Valentin Reyes-Guitierrez died in crash late Saturday.

The Columbian newspaper says troopers believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in causing Reyes-Guitierrez to stumble into traffic.

The driver of the SUV, a 53-year-old man from Hillsboro, Oregon, wasn’t injured. Neither was his passenger.
