HAZARD, Ky. (AP) - A man found stabbed to death inside a burning Kentucky home has been identified after authorities arrested a man last month in connection with the slaying.
WYMT-TV reports Jeffrey Standridge was found killed in a Perry County house fire. WKYT-TV reported the incident occurred on Aug. 30.
It’s unclear how old Standridge was.
According to arrest documents, 52-year-old Enoch Colwell is facing murder and arson charges in connection with Standridge’s death. Colwell is accused of stabbing Standridge and burning the house. Documents say Colwell was found at a relative’s home with Standridge’s vehicle.
Further details haven’t been released.
Colwell is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
