PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Police in New Jersey continue to search for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 15-year-old girl.
Authorities say the crash happened in Piscataway around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 21. Police say a vehicle struck the 15-year-old as she walked across the street within a crosswalk. The driver fled the scene.
The victim suffered serious injuries including a crushed pelvis and critical brain trauma. She remains in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital undergoing treatment.
Piscataway Police Lt. Tom Mosier tells WABC-TV the police department has reviewed hours of footage from local cameras to no avail.
