NORWICH, Vt. (AP) - School board negotiators in the Vermont town of Norwich say they have reached a tentative agreement on a two-year contract with teachers at the Marion Cross School.
The Valley News reports the agreement announced Sunday includes a 1.4 percent base salary increase in the first year and a 1.95 percent increase in the second.
The agreement also includes a new school district-funded Health Reimbursement Account and sets the maximum out-of-pocket health costs at $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for larger groups.
Lead negotiator Rick Newton says teachers are happy with the contract and relieved with the settlement. Contract negotiations took one year to reach an agreement.
If ratified, the contract would begin on Jan. 1, 2017 and continue through June 2019.
