FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say officers in Federal Way shot and killed a man they say pointed a gun at them.

Federal Way police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock says officers responded to reports Monday night of a man pointing a gun at other men. KING-TV reports that when the officers arrived, the man pointed his gun them. That’s when both officers fired, killing him.

The man died at the scene. No one else was injured.

The officers have been placed on paid administrative leave. A multi-agency team is investigating the shooting.
