CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - It’s not too soon to sign up for snowmobile safety classes in New Hampshire.

Classes are being taught by nearly 150 Fish and Game Department-certified volunteer instructors and regional coordinators statewide.

As an alternative to the traditional courses, participants have the option of completing the safety training online for a fee of $29.50.

In New Hampshire, anyone age 12 and older must have either a valid motor vehicle driver’s license or have successfully completed an approved OHRV/Snowmobile Safety Education class taught by volunteer instructors and staff.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a licensed adult when operating a snowmobile or OHRV, unless they are on property belonging to their parents, grandparents, or guardians.
