MORRISVILLE, Vt. (AP) - Firefighters say there were no injuries in a blaze that left 10 people homeless and heavily damaged a Morrisville apartment building.

A Vermont fire investigator is expected Friday to try to determine the cause of the fire, which was reported at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

Fire Chief Shawn Goodell says high winds and the age of the building made fighting the fire difficult.

Goodell says the building was evacuated after one resident smelled smoke.
