WILLIAMSTOWN, Vt. (AP) - Volunteers in Vermont worked over the weekend to make sure hundreds of residents and businesses had smoke alarms.
Volunteers in Williamstown worked Saturday to install a record number of smoke alarms for community residents. WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2x87FWh ) the group successfully installed 466 free smoke alarms throughout the town.
According to officials, the event was the largest number of installations in one day for the New Hampshire and Vermont region.
