AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - Two people have died in a fire in South Carolina.

Firefighters were called to a home in Aiken County around 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters from three departments arrived.

Coroner Tim Carlton said in a news release that firefighters found the bodies of two people in a burned home.



Carlton said the victims were the homeowner, 69-year-old John Ennis, and 38-year-old Sabrina D. Mikell. Autopsies were planned Monday in Newberry.

Sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
