ASH FORK, Ariz. (AP) - A closure of eastbound Interstate 40 east of Ash Fork is over after crews cleared wreckage and cleaned up spilled fuel oil from a crash involving a tractor-trailer rig.

State Trooper James Carne says the truck struck a construction barrier, blocking I-40’s eastbound lanes for about an hour Saturday morning before the closure was lifted shortly before 9 a.m.

Carne says there were no injuries.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the closure at the junction of State Route 89 caused a traffic backup that’d take some time to clear.

Westbound lanes were unaffected.
