COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A woman’s body has been found in a burning home in central South Carolina.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department said firefighters were called to a home around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters called Richland County sheriff’s deputies after finding the woman’s body. Sheriff’s deputies told local media outlets that the woman had injuries to her upper body.



Her name has not been released.

No arrests have been made in the death.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
