FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A man has been arrested in the death of a woman found in a North Carolina motel earlier this week.

Fayetteville police said in a news release that 19-year-old Tahkeese Gilliens was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and common law robbery.

Gilliens is charged in the death of 23-year-old Alyssa Mota of Fayetteville.

She was found dead in a motel Monday night.

The charges came after an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Raleigh determined Mota was the victim of a homicide. The cause of death has not been released.

It was not known if Gilliens has an attorney.
