President Trump on Monday continued his feud with CNN and knocked television networks in a tweet.
“We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!” Mr. Trump tweeted.
This continues a tweet from Saturday when the president suggested Fox News was more important in the U.S., but that CNN was spreading “fake” news internationally.
CNN public relations tweeted its response to Mr. Trump.
“It’s not CNN’s job to represent the U.S to the world. That’s yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst,” read the CNN tweet.
The network also issued a campaign seemingly aimed at Mr. Trump in October starting a #FactsFirst campaign in relation to Mr. Trump’s accusations of “fake news.”
