MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a juvenile in the shooting death of an 18-year-old New Hampshire high school student.

Attorney General Gordon MacDonald says Ian Jewell was killed by a single gunshot wound to the chest at a hardware store parking lot in Goffstown. He was a student at Manchester Memorial High School.

MacDonald said Wednesday night that the juvenile was charged with first-degree murder, accused of knowingly causing Jewell’s death with a deadly weapon in the commission of a robbery. The juvenile also was charged with an alternative count of second-degree murder, accused of recklessly causing Jewell’s death.
