MINTO, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 30-year-old Forest River woman who died in a single-vehicle crash in Walsh County.

The Highway Patrol says Elizabeth Knecht was driving a sport utility vehicle that went off a rural road about 7:40 a.m. Monday.

The SUV went through a ditch and over a riverbank, overturned, broke through the ice and came to rest upside down partially submerged in the water.

Knecht was alone in the vehicle. She died at the scene, about a mile south of Minto.
