Baywood pedestrian struck and killed by car on Long Island

BAYWOOD, N.Y. (AP) - Suffolk County police say a pedestrian has been killed by a car in Baywood on Long Island.

Police say they are investigating the death of the unidentified man who was struck by a 1996 Honda Civil shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police say a 20-year-old Brentwood man was driving the car when the man was struck as he walked along Pine Aire Drive near Harrison Avenue. The driver was not injured.
