LA CENTER, Wash. (AP) - A man has been hospitalized with serious burns after being rescued from a fire that destroyed a motor home and damaged a manufactured home.

The Columbian reports (https://bit.ly/2prrf7u ) firefighters had gone to the fire Monday morning and found it to have spread from the motor home to the manufactured home.

Deputy Clark County Fire Marshal Dan Young says a fire started as the homeowner apparently was trying to start the motor home and putting fuel in its carburetor.

Young says the fire has caused about $50,000 in total damage.
