RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Christina Sandidge has been hired by The Associated Press as a legislative relief staffer to help cover the ongoing 2017 North Carolina legislative session.
Sandidge has worked for the AP for the last two years in Atlanta, helping bolster the South region’s state reports. She will work alongside North Carolina Statehouse Correspondent Gary Robertson and other members of the Raleigh Bureau.
Sandidge holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Miami.
Prior to working for the AP, she did internships with the National Journalism Center and WSET-TV in Lynchburg, Virginia, and she also taught middle school in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools for three years as part of the national Teach for America Corps program.
