COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - The pilot of a single engine airplane suffered minor injuries when the plane crashed while taking off at the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, airport.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says the pilot and sole occupant of the plane was 61-year-old Frank G. Gordon of Coeur d’Alene.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Monday as the plane was taking off.



The sheriff’s office says the plane came to rest along a taxiway and did not leave the confines of the airport.

Federal authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
