CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say an Oregon family was displaced because of a mercury spill.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports (https://is.gd/Vo0gpI ) the hazmat incident occurred at a home Friday night, displacing three adults, three children and three pets.

The Corvallis Fire Department said the Environmental Protection Agency responded to the scene and recommended the family relocate until the mercury is cleaned up.
