LOGAN, Utah (AP) - A Utah business school has received two donations totaling $50 million.
The donations were announced at Utah State University’s Saturday commencement ceremonies. Reports say that the gift is the largest in USU’s history.
University officials say the money given by the Huntsman Foundation and the Charles Koch Foundation will allow the Huntsman School of Business create six faculty positions. It will also allow the university to expand its Huntsman Scholars and the Koch Scholar programs. A portion of the money will be aside for school’s new nonprofit, the Center for Growth and Opportunity.
Dean Doug Anderson says the money will be paid out over a 10 year period.
