The AP, based on information from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, also reported that he was 37 years old. He was 36.

A 36-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup in western South Dakota
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A 36-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup in western South Dakota.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the motorcyclist was eastbound and trying to pass a van in a no-passing zone on Nemo Road near Rapid City late Saturday afternoon when he collided with a Ford pickup that was westbound.
Patrick Lofswold, of Black Hawk, died at the scene. Authorities say he was wearing a helmet.
The pickup driver and his passenger were not hurt. Both were wearing seat belts.
