DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run incident that left a bicyclist dead.

Authorities say 52-year-old Kevin Freese of Dover was riding his bike on McKee Road in Dover when he was hit by a car just before midnight Thursday.

Police say a dark-colored sedan hit the rear tire of Freese’s bicycle, throwing him onto the shoulder of the road, then fled the scene.

Investigators say Freese was not wearing a bicycle helmet, was not wearing reflective clothing and his bicycle did not have a light on the front or rear of his bicycle.
