ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A Republican member of the Wyoming House is resigning his seat because he is starting a small business and moving out of the district he was elected to serve.
Rep. Mark Baker of Rock Springs said he is moving to Green River. His resignation will take effect on May 15.
Baker said it was an honor to serve in the state Legislature for five years.
The Sweetwater County Republican Party will select three candidates to the county commission, which will choose Baker’s successor.
