JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A 15-year-old Jackson girl was killed in a weekend all-terrain vehicle crash in western Colorado.
The Montrose County coroner says Georgia Smits died at the scene of the crash in a rural area west of Montrose, Colorado, on Sunday afternoon.
Thomas Smits tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide (bit.ly/2raPF9i ) that his daughter was visiting friends in Montrose over the Memorial Day weekend when the crash happened. The family had moved to Jackson from Montrose in March 2016.
Georgia was a freshman at Jackson Hole High School.
