WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - A Utah teenager was fatally shot Tuesday about five hours after a different teenager was shot and survived.
Authorities did not know Tuesday if the two incidents were related, but they said the first shooting might have been gang related.
Police say the fatal shooting started with West Valley City neighbors hearing an argument and calling 911 after seeing a group fighting in the street.
Two cars fled the scene after shots were fired. The victim’s identity and age are not known but police confirmed he was a teenager.
A 15-year-old boy was expected to survive after being shot in the stomach during the first incident. Police were still looking Tuesday for a vehicle they believed was involved.
