MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York man is in jail after state police say he fatally stabbed a Westchester man during a road rage incident on a suburban New York City highway.

Troopers say 28-year-old Daniel Siino, of Hartsdale, was stabbed in the chest by 21-year-old Christian Walczyk, (WAHL’-zihk) of Pleasant Valley in Dutchess County, during an encounter late Saturday night on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant.

Siino’s passenger started driving him to a hospital and called 911. He was found by emergency crews and troopers and was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Troopers say Walczyk left the scene and also called 911. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with manslaughter. He’s being held without bail.

It couldn’t be learned from Westchester County prosecutors if Walczyk has a lawyer.
