KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities say a fugitive from a West Virginia prison has been captured without incident.

The U.S. Marshals Service says in a news release that 26-year-old Tyler Wynkoop of Harpers Ferry was arrested at a Kearneysville residence by members of a multiagency police task force.

Wynkoop escaped March 31 from the Pruntytown Correctional Center in Grafton, where he was serving a sentence for grand larceny out of Jefferson County.

The statement says investigators learned Wynkoop was seen last month with his girlfriend in Jefferson County. The vehicle of the girlfriend, 25-year-old Brittany Hudnall of Harpers Ferry, was located at a trailer park Tuesday. Wynkoop was found hiding inside the residence and was arrested. Hudnall also was in the home and was charged with felony accessory after the fact.
