Mesa police: Adult, child found dead after apartment fire

MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Mesa police say an adult and a small child have been found dead following an apartment fire.

Detective Nik Rasheta says firefighters found the bodies Tuesday after entering a bedroom where a nearly extinguished fire was the source of smoke in the apartment.

Identities haven’t been released and Rasheta says the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
