ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A northwestern New Mexico man has been arrested in a one-vehicle crash in which two people were killed and three other people injured when all five were ejected.
Court records indicate 21-year-old Elijah King of Gamerco faces two counts of homicide and three counts of child abuse resulting in great bodily harm.
The New Mexico State Police said the pickup driven by King crashed Monday on State Road 118 in McKinley County on Monday.
The State Police identified those killed as 20-year-old Janice Miller and 43-year-old Jennifer Johnson, both of Iyanbito.
Officer Carl Christiansen says King was a sixth person in the vehicle and that he was seen crawling out of it after the crash.
It’s not immediately known whether King has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
