SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - A Virginia man was rescued from the roof of a burning home with life-threatening injuries and officials say a man who lived in the home is charged with arson.

Suffolk officials said in a statement that fire and rescue crews called to a home Sunday night and found the man on the roof. He was rescued and flown to Sentara with life-threatening injuries. Two other residents were initially missing, but were found safe.

Officials say one of those residents, 25-year-old Tyson Watkins has been charged with arson of an occupied building. He’s being held without bond.

Officials say additional charges may be filed.
