Apartment fires displace residents in Milwaukee, other towns

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The American Red Cross is helping displaced residents after apartment building fires in Milwaukee, Green Bay and Ashwaubenon.

The agency says two families were affected in Green Bay. The other fires were in a 12-unit apartment complex in Ashwaubenon and a 24-unit building in Milwaukee.

WBAY-TV reports that one person was taken to a hospital in Ashwaubenon to be treated for smoke inhalation.

There was no immediate word on the cause of any of the fires.
